[Early-1950s Vacation Guide Booklet published by the State Chamber of Commerce and State Planning Commission, Montgomery, Alabama.] “ALABAMA Vacation Trails - Old South Charm, New South Playgrounds.”  No date listed, but circa 1950s. SIZE is 8 x 9 inches, staple binding. 28 pages, over 60 black and white photographs. Booklet is folded vertically down its middle like a transportation schedule. Some of the Topics and Photos are:
    Highway Patrol Officer with Road Map helping motorist * Under Six Flags * Stately Mansions * Gardens * Colleges and Universities * Historic Buildings * Parks and Recreation * Field and Stream * Cotton Harvest * Industry * the Moundbuilders * Slaves Home * Man holding a large pair of Cavalla fish from the Gulf * Etc. … The last 15 pages are a guide to cities, counties, and highway routes in the state.
