    Commemorative Plate was sold in conjunction with Akron's 250th anniversary in 1975. The centered image features Simon Perkins who founded Akron in 1825. Other depictions include Buchtel College, Perkins Mansion, Stan Hywet Hall, E.J. Thomas Performing Arts Centerm Buckeye Mower & Reaper, Cascade Mill and the Old Stone School. The locations are detailed on the back of the plate.
    The plate was made by Kettlesprings Kilns in Alliance, Ohio  2554-S
