OFF WHITE GRILLE CLOTH FOR ACOUSTIC RESEARCH SPEAKERS

VINTAGE-AR is now offering new replacement off white grille cloth for installation on your AR-3a, AR-2a, AR-2ax, AR-5, AR-4x, AR-4ax, AR-LST, AR-LST2 speakers and others.
We finally located a foreign manufacturer to supply us linen fabric that we are willing to sell as replacement material for these classic AR speakers.  It is an open weave linen with the correct thread count and the
little "slubs" (heavy pieces of thread) running up and down the grille. The weave was the biggest challenge as most linen fabric is too dense for acoustic transparency. The color is off-white. We have compared it to many pieces of original AR fabric that we have in house and it looks just like one of the weaves AR used on the AR-3a.  It appears to be lighter in color but of course, all the original material we have has faded substantially over the years.
We are now utilizing this fabric on all of our restorations.

Supplied 28 inches wide by 30 inches high. You will typically cut two pieces for use on a pair of  large speakers. Detailed instructions are included for mounting this to your grilles.
If you need a larger cut for a pair of LST or LST2, request a quote.
