    Description

***Note for international buyers. ebay global shipping can be crazy high. I don't get any of that international shipping money and please beware ebay works out customs fees based on purchase+shipping cost. If shipping is really too high, send me a PM and we can work something out much cheaper such as sending by regular letter instead of package.
I would love to give them away to generate good karma and put a smile on a Sansui owner's face, but I spent hundreds of dollars on 2 production runs (including 1 failed metal print set) and probably about 20 late nights perfecting the font... whatever you do, don't buy the relatively low quality ones from other sellers which are just printer at home on consumer grade sticker paper (I tried that myself, and it's just not good enough look and feel).
These are professionally manufactured on silver metalized plastic. They are nice thin but durable shiny silver plastic and the black print is solid and gloss, not like the paper with imperfect black and matte silver which you will get from printing on silver sticker paper at home (which is what some others sell online).
These are not crappy approximate fonts on flimsy sticker paper with home printing which will not last the test of time; this auction is for a full set of durable, glossy, silver metalized plastic professionally printed reproductions of Sansui Eight button labels.
The pic doesn't really do justice to the quality of the button label reproduction here. Search "Sansui 7000 (Eight, Six, Seven & Eight Deluxe) button labels" and find the AudioKarma thread with more photos and links to a video; only in the video can you see the sheen/reflectivity and how nice the labels look.
To recreate these labels, a vector format font package was painstakingly created from the original labels (requiring many many nights for perfect conversion into better-than-pixel-perfect vector-format font), rather than simply using a similar font or a scan (which would never look perfect).
NOTE: Nobody has access to Sansui's original font. I am the only person to have recreated the font package.
These are professionally printed (not by me, I have it done by a firm in Korea) on a highly reflective and glossy silver metalized-plastic. A 3M adhesive backing has been added so you just peel and stick on. I sell as a set but obviously you can replace just the missing one, or replace all (the ones still stuck on will come off very very easily if you pry with even the lightest touch from a suitable tool like a small blade or tiny screw driver).
It will be much much more durable than if you print at home on silver paper. I tried to damage the plastic prints by aggressive rubbing with isopropyl alcohol... to no effect. You need this durability if you want to touch these with sweaty dirty fingers for years to come.
Total thickness about 1mm thick; plastic is precisely 0.4 mm thick and the rest is backing adhesive which is slightly variable.
Note that the font size and boldness actually varies a bit from one Sansui unit to another (at least on my 2x Eight Deluxes, 2x Eights, 1x Seven, 1x Six and 1x 7000). I opted towards recreating the bolder range of the font version because it looks better from a distance, but this means there can be some slight difference between this font on your original labels. Also note that the original button labels where thicker, metal and curved. I.e. this is not an exact reproduction, but it's the absolute best looking and most durable I could do (trust me, I tried metal photo prints etc etc).
The individual labels come pre-cut with the adhesive backing ready to go; all you need to do is peel off the backing from the rear.
My positive feedback on ebay is not from offering refunds left-right-&-center, but by selling good items that are described properly. I will work with customers, but so far I have not had a single issue raised with these button labels; zero.
