    Description

    This auction is for a metal candle holder.
    A miner's candle holder sometimes called a "Sticking Tommy" or "Tommy Stick".  Fashioned in a shape that can be wedged into a wall by the point, or hung from the miner's hat/cap by the hook.
    I have found no manufacturer markings.
    I obtained this piece at a rummage sale, so I cannot comment on its history.
    The body of the holder looks to have eight flattened sides.  This item is all one piece.  Surface rust and soiling present.  I have not attempted to clean or polish this holder.  I have found no cracks, breaks, mends or repairs.
