original, vintage Illustrated Current News posters from 1962 related to the Mercury 7 Space Missions with many female characters currently seen in The Right Stuff. Includes: March 7 (Mercury 7 astronaut wives/moms), March 23 (Jane Hart and Jerrie Cobb pass Mercury 7 astronaut tests and become part of the Mercury 13) and Dec. 17 (Satelites "Relay" and "Telstar"). Illustrated Current News posters were used for, amongst other things, attracting business by giving passersby something to check out. They featured images and a caption with the current top news story on glossy paper that measures 19" x 12 1/2". They were issued folded up. Condition is NEAR MINT. Backs are blank.
