This lot is for a vintage Victorian Southern Belle
16" doll
and also a padded Victorian
chair
for the doll to sit on.
The doll has a hang tag indicating it is by
Show-Stoppers Inc
, but does not have a name tag. It looks very much like the Florence Maranuk series of dolls, but I am not sure. The hang tag does say "DAYS GONE BYE".
It comes with its original vintage dress.
She wears a lilac and ivory colored Victorian style floor-length dress with pantaloons and full-laced petticoat underneath for fullness. She has a very wide-brimmed hat that matches her dress, and holds a fancy parasol.
There are roses on her hat as well as on her dress. The outfit appears "old" as it came from an estate sale.
The doll has a porcelain head, hands, and feet with a cloth body. I
t has jointed legs. She has long curly golden-brown hair, feathery light-brown eyelashes, blue eyes, light coral lips and light peachy cheeks.
Included in this lot is a vintage Victorian chair. The chair has a very sturdy wooden frame with a padded floral cloth seat, matching padded oval back, and matching partially padded armrests. It measures about 17" high and 10" at its widest. The seat measures about 9 1/2" x 7 1/2".
