    Description

    The cross was established on December 28, 1988 on the initiative of Brig. Franciszek Kamiński by a resolution of the Presidium of the Supreme Committee of the United People's Party on the occasion of the 50th anniversary
    of the outbreak of World War II.
    It honored persons participating in the armed effort during World War II in the ranks of the Peasant Battalions, the People's Union of Women and the People's Party of "Roch".
    A total of 11,277 crosses were given in 1993-1999.
    On October 16, 1992, the Peasant Battalion's Cross was recognized as a state decoration and until May 8, 1999 it was broadcast by the President of the Republic of Poland.
